It is with great sorrow that we announce her passing on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Chemainus Health Care Centre. Jennie is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband of 60 years, Joe; son Nigel (Karen) Whittington, daughter Lynne (David) Munro and son Mark (Kasey) Whittington; her grandchildren Ashley, Michael, Jillian, Jennifer, Emma and Joe, as well as her brother Gerald (Josie) Gore. She was an incredibly courageous, patient, kind person, with great love for her family. She will be remembered as well as a talented seamstress who loved sewing, cross stitching and knitting. Special thanks to Dr. Atwell, Dr. Alan Earp-Jones and the wonderful nursing staff at Chemainus Health Care Centre. A private family gathering will take place to celebrate her life.
