Sadly Jennifer Martin passed away May 24th after a brave battle with lung cancer.
Jennifer was a devoted mother of her two daughters. She was also an accomplished woodcarver; her carvings were awarded on several occasions at the Brandt Woodcarving Festival in Parksville and featured in Wood Chip Magazine. Jennifer also had a life long love of animals. She worked as a dog groomer at her business, Comox Doggy Do, which opened in 2010. In her spare time Jennifer loved spending time with and riding her horse at Dove Creek Heritage Farm.
Jennifer is predeceased by her daughter Kristin Anne Martin, father Irving Bailey and survived by her husband Larry Martin, daughter Alex Martin, sister Linda Carpenter, brother James Bailey and mother Lois Elliot.
A gathering of close family and friends will be held at Jennifer’s home June 7th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the SPCA.
