KALK, Joan Emily (Forster)

Joan Emily Kalk (Forster) was born on February 25, 1922 and passed away peacefully on June 20, 2013. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Emily “Sis” Forster, her beloved husband of 57 years who passed away in March of 2008, Norman Philip Kalk.

The family moved from Petersfield, MB to Langford (Victoria) B.C in 1966 living there for many years before moving to Qualicum Beach. Joan also had a love for dogs; the latest being Angel.

Thank you so much to cousin Richard and his wife Sally for all of their help. Family and friends for their calls, cards and flowers and especially the ambulance personnel, the caregivers with The Nurse Next Door, VIHA and St. Joseph’s Hospital for seeing Joan through her final months battling cancer.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Joan’s memory. Final arrangements are through Piercy’s Mt Washington Funeral Home and later by Hubert and Pat Carter.
