Joan Lilian Charie, aged 83, a resident of Laurel Lodge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6th, 2003. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband of 63 years, Dick; son Alan (Susan) Charie of Burlington, Ontario; daughter Linda (Don) Rutherford of Comox and grandchildren Hayley, Andrew and Jillian. Her Funeral Service will take place from St. Peter’s Anglican Church on Friday, September 12th at 2:00 p.m. with Father John Paetkau officiating. Arrangements entrusted to COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD. Should friends desire, donations in Joan’s memory to Laurel Lodge, 280 - 2nd Street, Courtenay, B.C.
