September 3, 2019
We are deeply saddened to have to announce the sudden passing of my loving fiancé and our loving brother Joe Roy On sept 3, 2019 Joe was taken from us suddenly and unexpectedly. Joe as we all know was a man with a big heart, he was fun loving, caring, and generous to a fault. He would help anyone in need and always did. The way his eyes sparkled when he laughed, his wild hair and even his many political debates, are just a few of the things that we will miss.
Joe leaves a big hole in many people's hearts. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting, mushroom picking, just being out there was enough for him. For many years he has enjoyed volunteering at the music fest and other festivals. We met while volunteering at the music fest and have been together ever since as we found we enjoyed the same activities and subsequently fell in love. Joe will be sorrowfully missed by Stacey, his daughter Tanya, grandson Kynan, stepchildren Maja, Michael, and Stephanie, his brother and sisters, and many other family members and friends. Joe was predeceased by his parents Cliff and Angie Roy and his niece Tiffany Gagnon.
We will be having a Celebration of Life for Joe on Saturday Sept 28, at 1 at the Cumberland Legion. We will be having an open mic so people can share some memorable stories with everyone.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Vancouver Island Compassion Dogs Society or Finding Purpose Society.
