KROEMER, Johannes Gerhard Wilhelm (Hans)

1935-2012


Passed away peacefully at home in Courtenay, BC on May 20, 2012 with his loving friend Barb by his side.


Hans born in Glietwitz Germany, immigrated to Ottawa, Canada in 1951 where he met his wife Marion Kroemer. They married in 1955 and Hans joined the Armed Forces shortly after. He was in the 2 RCHA for 17 years before transferring to the Intelligence Branch of the Canadian Armed Forces.


Hans retired in the beautiful Comox Valley where he and his wife developed a love for gardening. They had a beautiful garden in their backyard, entertaining many of summer nights while his family and friends relaxed and enjoyed a wonderful time.


Predeceased by his wife Marion Kroemer (1997), his daughter Cheri Kroemer (2011) and his grandson Allan Bacon (1994).


Survived by his sister Charlotte Bruchmueller (Ottawa, Ont) and many nieces and nephews in Ontario.


Lovely remembered and survived by his children Debi Perfitt (Phil), Monica Kroemer (Robert Perfitt), Angela Kroemer and Sam Kroemer.


Also survived by grandchildren – Jason Bacon, Joshua Bain, Zachary Perfitt, Stephanie MacKinnon, Christine MacKinnon , Jillian Kroemer and 10 great grandchildren with love. He will be sadly missed by all family and friends.


Silently drifting away into the night, released from all your pain and into the loving arms of family past.
