JOHN GILBERT “JACK”
?July 23, 1913 – July 22, 2006
Jack Macmillan passed away peacefully after a short illness at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, B.C. a day short of his 93rd birthday. He was predeceased by his wife Pat in 1988. Jack is survived by son Bill (Connie), daughter Barbara (Gary) Bocking, grandchildren: Geoff, Julie and Jennifer, great-grandchildren: Matthew and Abigail. Jack was an avid sportsman and was active in the Comox Golf Club and the Courtenay Lawn Bowling Club. Born and raised in the Toronto area, Jack moved to the Comox Valley in 1987. He will be sadly missed by his bridge and whist groups. The family would like to thank Dr. McFadden and the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital for their kindness and care. Friends are invited to drop in to a gathering of friends and family in celebration of Jack’s life at COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. ?
