John was born in Stoke-on-Trent, England, on December 18, 1921. At the age of 18 John enlisted in the RAF and went on to serve in the European and North Africa Theaters of war as a Flight Engineer for 4 years during WW 11.

He met his wife Jean while taking RAF training in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and they married in April of 1942.

After the war John worked for the Saskatchewan Power Corporation as a Gas Superintendant for 36 years, residing in Kindersley & North Battleford.

John was a member of the Masonic Lodge receiving his acceptance into the Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan, Ancient Free Accepted Masons signifying 50 years of membership, for which he was very proud. As a member of the Masonic Lodge, he was a Past Master of Battle Lodge #19, a Past First Principal of Eagle Lake Chapter #20 Kindersley, Sask. Member of the Valley of Saskatoon Scottish Rite, Rose Croix, and Consistory, and WA WA Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S.

John will be lovingly remembered for his strive for excellence in everything he did, his intellect and quick wit, his dignity, but most of all, for his devotion to his soul mate and best friend of 64 years, his wife Jean.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to Dad’s many friends and to the wonderful and caring staff at Glacier View Lodge.
