Born in Eston, Saskatchewan on October 10th, 1918, Joseph passed away peacefully at the of 98 on December 19th, 2016 with his only daughter by his side.
Joseph leaves behind his only daughter from his first marriage with Bernice Rymal; Janet Hodgins (Harvey), his second wife of 38 years Dorothy Rymal, Dorothy’s children: Don Dillabaugh (Sue), Sandi Lonnen (Mark) and leaves behind many other relatives and family friends.
Joseph worked as an accountant most of his life and several years farming (cattle, pigs, grains) in Saskatchewan. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed the beauty of flower gardens. He believed in the creator and his faith sustained him throughout his life.
We would like to send out a special thanks to Dr. Nolan Jansen of Campbell River, Dr. Tyler Falk and Erica Maynard (NP) of Courtenay for their kind care, all the nurses and staff at Glacier View Lodge; many of them thought Joseph was “very special”, and to Emma Rimell at Toneff Funeral Services for her professionalism and kindness in assisting our family with the passing.
