Simpson - Joseph, born 1928 in Victoria, BC, died suddenly on Sunday, May 4th, 2003 at home in Courtenay. Joe worked for Vancouver Island Coach Lines/Pacific Coach Lines for 34 years and was an active member of the CBRT&GW. His early childhood on Moresby Island initiated his love of farming and since 1974 he farmed dairy cattle on Glacier View Farms in Courtenay. Predeceased by his wife Renata in April of 2002, Joe is survived by his children Gregory Simpson, Wanda Sinclair (Jim), Nadine Simpson (Ross), and Oliver Simpson (Pamela Simpson); his beloved grandchildren Miranda, Duncan Joseph, Kathy, Amy, Nathaniel, Elijah, Tova, Abigail, Jacqueline, and Nikki. At his request, a funeral service will be held from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD on Saturday, May 10th at 1:30 pm. Friends are invited to share fellowship and refreshments with Joe’s family in the “Garden Room and Outdoor Patio” of the funeral home following the service. Private family internment will take place in Courtenay Civic Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, P.O.
