Joseph Thomas Patterson passed away at the Comox Valley Seniors Village on August 18, 2018. He is predeceased by his wife, Fay Madreen Patterson, his brother Robert Gibb Patterson and wife Norma, and his sister Doreen MacDonald and her husband John. He is survived by his son Gregory Reid Patterson, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins, Alester, Bruce, Cameron, and Donna.
Tom was a WWII bomber pilot, 402 Squadron Commander and retired as a Lt. Colonel Air Force. He was a Mason at Stony Mtn. Lodge, Manitoba as well as a member of the Comox Valley Legion.
Before the war, Tom worked for Ford of Canada, and post-war was an automotive teacher at Red River Community College in Winnipeg, Manitoba, until he retired as department head for the entire automotive department. In his leisure time, Tom enjoyed golfing, stain glass making and fishing.
Tom was a good dependable provider, an excellent husband and all around perfect father. He will be dearly missed. Private cremation arrangements.
