Joyce Margaret Vanetta
1929 ~ 2009
On December 1, 2009 Joyce passed away after a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Lorne in November of 2007. Joyce was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on April 8th, 1929. She was the forth of six children born to Alfred Lowrie and Hazel Gentry. Joyce is survived by two sons; Jack (Sheila) and Don (Karen) and two grandsons, Steven and Jeremy. Joyce was predeceased by her brothers Ray and Morris and her sister Nadine. She is survived by her brother Ken and sister Maxine.
Joyce was actively involved in the Comox Valley Curling Club where she was Lady's President and also served on the Lady's Executive of the Comox Golf Club. She loved her golf trips to Canmore with the girls and enjoyed her many holidays abroad. Many thanks to the wonderful staff of St. Joseph's 2nd Floor.
