MCMEEKIN, JOYCE Ivy Peacefully on August 19, 2009 in Victoria, at the age of 81. Predeceased by her husband Robert and her sister Eve Brown, she is survived by her daughter Janet; two brothers, Jim Payne and Jack (Daphne) Payne, family, and many good friends. Mom will be remembered for her independent spirit, sense of humour, love of music, and her many years of volunteer work in the Comox Valley and Victoria. A memorial service will be conducted in Christ Church Cathedral, Quadra & Burdett Streets, Victoria, on Wednesday September 2nd at 2:00pm followed by a reception.
