October 9, 1958 - December 17, 2018
Judith Lorraine Baillie Harder left this world far too early and in her own words, with much left to do. Judith was an incredible woman who gave generously of her time and resources, contributed extensively to the groups and organizations she was affiliated with, and easily convinced others to help with her infectious passion. These communities all rallied around during her brief fight with cancer to support and encourage her through her journey.

Judith was a dedicated friend, a helpful neighbour, an intelligent business woman, and an accomplished runner. Her other achievements include: a year in Bolivia as a Rotary Exchange Student, UBC Fine Arts Degree, Past-President of the West Van Sunrise Rotary Club, Founding Member of the Comox Valley Community Foundation, 12 years on Courtenay City Council, creator and owner/operator of Comox Valley Party Rentals, President of the Vancouver Water Ski Club and co-founder/owner of mineral exploration businesses in BC and Argentina.

Judith spoke often of the pride and joy she felt as a member of her widespread family and was often the person everyone remained connected to despite vast geographical space. Judith was predeceased by her mother, Jeanie, and leaves behind her loving family: father Bent (Annette), brothers Ian (Louise) and Lorne (Saskia), and children Julian, Rhiannon (Tony), Amber, and Webster, along with a complex and loving family of adored step-children and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles.

Help us celebrate and remember her life:

January 5th, 1:30 pm at Hollyburn Country Club, 950 Cross Creek Road, West Vancouver OR January 12th, 2:00 pm at Crown Isle Resort, 399 Clubhouse Drive, Courtenay.

Donations in Judith's memory are welcome at the Comox Valley Community Foundation, #102 - 1797 Comox Avenue, Comox, BC V9M 3L9.
