March 30,1945 - August 12, 2016

Ken passed away at home on August 12, 2016. The severity of pulmonary fibrosis was too much for him and his heart gave out. He was born and grew up in Richmond, BC and lived the first few years of his life Burkeville, Sea Island where his lifelong passion for airplanes and flying was ignited. He graduated from Steveston High School in 1963 and started working in the general insurance field. Ken excelled everything he did. He was an accomplished watercolourist, photographer, motorcycle rider, race car driver with his Volvo 122s. He loved cars particularly his Mustang Bullitts. He played classic tennis and golfed with his buddies, Wayne, Bob and George. He loved snorkeling and boogie boarding in Maui. He was terrific ice skater especially when partnered up with Lynda who picked him up one evening at Kerrisdale arena and ended up as man and wife a year and a half later. He was patient and gracious with everybody he worked and dealt with in his insurance agency. And also counseling and advising people at the North Shore Continuing Education’s Joy of Learning courses doing killer resumes. He was the gift shop manager at the Comox Air Force Museum for a few years, another job he loved. Ken was a big time cat lover and Cleo misses him already. And so do I. Rest in peace, Kenny-poo. Love, Lynda Many thanks to our wonderful neighbours and friends especially Pat and Marion, Andy and Wendy, Steve, Jenny and Allison and too many more to mention.
