Ken was born the 8th of 9 children and lived his whole life in the Comox Valley.
Predeceased by parents Cornelis Johannes Marinus and Catharina Johanna Cornelia Oomen.
Survived by his loving wife Shelley, siblings: Hubert (Shawnette), Marie, John (Peggy), Joe, Ella (Allan), Andy (Brenda),Wally (Loreen), Cathy, brother-in-law Ian, sisters-in-law; Daphne (Rob), Maureen (Ailee and Cashton), and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In 1991 he married the love of his life, Shelley Diane Fraser. His last 5+ years were spent at Comox Valley Seniors Village. A special thank-you to his care aides Ruthie, Shannon, Madison, and Katelyn.
A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held on Saturday May 10th, from 1-3pm at the Florence Filberg Centre.
