Kenneth Hunt
1925 - 2008
Kenneth passed away peacefully at the Special Care Unit of Cumberland Lodge on Sunday, December 28, 2008. Predeceased by his brother Ray, he is survived by his son Steven, second wife Georgia, brothers Alfred (Marge) and Bob (Jeanette) and sisters Eileen (Graham) and Bette Mae, a number of nephews and nieces and their families and friends.
Kenneth was a long time employee of the Royal Jubilee Hospital as an LPN/Orderly in Victoria. Prior to that, he served in both the Navy and Air Force. A veteran of the 2nd World War, he proudly served in the North Atlantic convoys. During his retirement he volunteered twice weekly at the Royal Jubilee Hospital Emergency Ward.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Special Care Unit at Cumberland Lodge for their continuous care and support.
A memorial service will be held at Branch 17, Royal Canadian Legion, Courtenay on Friday January 9th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation be made in memory of Kenneth Hunt to the Alzheimer Society of BC, 300-828 West 8th St., Vancouver BC, V5Z 1E2.
