ELLERAY, Kenneth James
1925 – 2010
Born in Blackburn, Lancashire, England – Passed away peacefully in Cumberland, B.C. on August 18th, 2010. Ken was predeceased by his wife Louise, his parents Bert and Ethel Elleray and his son James Stuart Elleray. Left to mourn are his son Brian of Williams Lake and grandchildren Colton and Brianna, his stepchildren Lisa, Mark and Wade as well as friends in the nursing home where he lived for so long. Ken arrived in Indian Head, Saskatchewan with his parents in the 40’s to help his grandfather Charley Farrow who was a funeral director. Ken who was trained as a lathe man worked in Regina, Saskatchewan, then moved to Vernon, B.C. to work for a company that catered to the needs of the logging companies. He was then moved to Williams Lake where he was the manager of a branch and finally to Kamloops where he worked until retirement. He will be missed for his good character and wonderful sense of humour. Private family arrangements entrusted to Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation & Reception Centre.
