Kenneth Raymond Foster born December 31, 1922 in Christchurch, New Zealand, passed away January 22, 2008 at Glacier View Lodge after a lengthy illness borne with dignity and unfailing humour.
Ken is survived by his loving wife Helen, children: Raymond Foster (Maria) of Port Coquitlam, Geoffrey Power (Dawn) of Salmon Arm, Janet Alexander (Ron) of Courtenay, Michael Power (Jody) of Courtenay, Derek Power (Eveline) of Merville.
Ken was the perfect grandpa. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all his heart. They will miss him so much. These wonderful grandchildren are Danielle and David Foster, Sean (Catherine) of Kamloops, Kelly Power of Calgary, Paul Weinstein (Colleen) of Seattle, Washington, Kama Antaya (Yves) of Black Creek, Leah Weinstein, Elizabeth Weinstein, Monica and Roxanne Power of Merville, Jaime and Kevin White. Great-grandchildren Kayli Antaya, Christina and Riley Power, Claire & Alice Weinstein.
Ken loved his land of birth, New Zealand. He is survived by his sister Dawn Harris (Ken) and family of North New Brighton, Christchurch, NZ and brother Bob Johnston and nephews of Omaru, NZ.
Ken was the Founding President of Southern Slope Juvenile Soccer Assoc. and Founding President of District 69. Health Planning Society. He served as an Alderman Qualicum Beach 1985-87. He was a Founding Member of Anderton Therapeutic Garden Society.
The family would like to thank Dr. Janice McLaughlin for her loving care, Dr. Engman who made Ken's visits enjoyable, the caring staff of Glacier View Lodge Courtenay and Grace Clarke of Hospice.

Flowers gratefully accepted. Donations may be made to Anderton Therapeutic Gardens or the Comox Valley Hospice Society in Ken's memory. A Memorial Service will be held at Comox United Church on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 1:30 pm under the direction of COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 1101 RYAN ROAD.
