1963-2021 ~ On March 8th, 2021, Kerri passed away at her home in Campbell River, BC. She was predeceased by her beloved mother Judy Preus. She will be dearly missed by her father Rudy Preus (Pat Simpson), her much loved sister Janet Preus, cousin Lynn Leboeuf, her Aunt and Uncle Jean-Paul and Sandra Leboeuf, childhood best friends Heather Morrison, Denise Gardner and Tracey Gagnier and neighbours Debbie Adams and Thomas Tat Yan Fong, with whom her much loved dog Bella now resides, in addition to many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Kerri was born in Middleton, NS and as part of a military family she lived in many locations until settling down in the Comox Valley. Kerri spent her adult life employed with Nav Canada in Prince Rupert and Campbell River, where she attained the position of Manager and worked as an Instructor.
A kind and generous soul who had the ability to make new friends in her every endeavour, she often volunteered for additional shifts to ensure that her colleagues could enjoy special holidays with their loved ones.
Her generosity extended to her personal interests where she volunteered untold hours in support of the SPCA; fully immersing herself in organizing special events such as "Paws for a Cause." It was truly a passion for Kerri, as were gardening and cooking. Many of us were the lucky recipients of her lovingly prepared and scrumptious meals.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a Memorial Service will not be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, an "In Memoriam" donation to the Campbell River SPCA or a charity of your choice would be most appreciated.
