Larry was the youngest son of Ida and Al Hilton of Courtenay, BC. Brother, Roland Hilton (Campbell River, BC) and Sister Doreen Dean (Surrey, BC) and many nieces and nephews. Larry was diagnosed with Schizophrenia in his teens. He graduated from Vanier High School in Courtenay and worked at the Elk Falls mill in Campbell River for a short period of time in his early 20s. Larry lived for many years at Riverview in Vancouver and then transferred to Seven Oaks in Victoria. He recently spent a short time at Sandringham Long Term Care Home before he passed away.
During a conversation with Larry he would refer to things that occurred as being done by "Brother Larry", never himself. Brother Larry, always lived up on the hill behind Seven Oaks. Perhaps now Larry may join him on the hill. Ida Bell may be there and your Dad. All of the family cared for you and loved you very much.
