Leona Doris Taylor (formerly Barnes, nee: Harris)
May 20, 1929 - March 8, 2003
It is with very deep sadness that the family of Leona announce her very sudden passing on March 8, 2003. Loved by all, Leona will be deeply missed by her husband Bruce; daughters: Maureen (Rick), Julie (Mike) and Jill (Harold), and son Greg; grandchildren: Angela (Sebastien), Tricia, Mark and Jeff; and great grandson Delwyn. Leona will also be missed by her sister Ruth (Vagn) and brothers: Ed (Edie) and Roy. Leona had a kind heart, always with a special twinkle in her eye. She was known and loved by many, including members of her “second” families ~ the Whittakers and Brostroms. Special thanks go to the Emergency and ICU staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox. All your efforts and kindness were truly appreciated. The family welcomes your thoughts and sympathies, but no formal services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
