Predeceased by parents Cecile and Philippe and brothers Jacques and Bertrand, sisters Lucille and Marthe. Survived by loving wife Mabel. Daughters Lisa, Francine, Rosemary and Joanne. Grandchildren Azaia, Kory, Sean and Nicole. Sisters Noemie, Christaine, Noelline, Marjolaine and many other extended family members especially nieces Michele and Diane.
Bernie served in the military for 21 years which included Egypt, 3 tours in Alert and many bases throughout Canada. He also continued to work as a civilian at CFB Comox another 10 years. He was loved by many and well known in the community for his work at the Wing and the Legion, also for public speaking at Remembrance Day memorials at a variety of schools in the Comox Valley and all the kindness he extended to everyone he met.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, November 27th at 1pm at the Comox Legion. Donations to BC Cancer research would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
