In Loving Memory ~

Born in Yorktown Saskatchewan in 1930, Les was the second youngest of 5 siblings all who have predeceased him, Dorothy Rubin, Charmiane Fraser, Jim Bowman and Brian Bowman. Les also outlived his loving wife of 70 yrs Margaret Arlene "Ted".

He joined the Navy the moment he could and came back to Foam Lake to sweep Ted off her feet and move to the west coast, crisscrossing Canada many times with his family in tow. Upon retiring from the Navy they moved to Halifax where he worked at the Victoria General Hospital managing the X-ray dept until his second retirement.

Soon after, they moved to Courtney BC for their golden yrs, golfing and travelling to Arizona for the winters, and many other trips in between from Hawaii to Antarctica to Europe and Asia.

Les leaves behind 4 daughters, Terry Kojtila, (Ed) Ottawa. Maureen McKay, Calgary, Robin Haley (David) and Andy (Ken) both of Nova Scotia, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Recently, after his wife's death his daughters moved him back to Halifax to be near family. He had been living in Parkland Clayton Park for the final 3yrs, until his hospitalization from a fall.

Both Ted and Les preferred private celebrations so in that final wish there will be no gathering to mark his passing.

Les has donated his body to science.
