May 18, 1958 - February 22, 2020
On February 22nd we said goodbye to our darling Leslie. Les was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a cousin and a friend. At the core of each of these relationships was Les's compassion, kindness and unwavering love. It was impossible to meet Les and not be enveloped in her warmth and generosity.
The valley was Les's home and she loved it, summers spent at the beach and camping, winters gathered in a warm room, hosting friends and family. That was where Les was at her happiest: welcoming others into her home to share the gourmet meals she'd prepared, to laugh, and to reminisce over old stories. Every gathering was special because Les made it so. She had an innate ability to put you at ease, to make you feel loved, like you were coming home.
Les, beloved daughter of Jake and Christina McLoughlin leaves behind her husband Steve, son Christopher, daughter in-law Kari (Simpkins) and granddaughters Tenley and Tegan.
We would like to thank Dr. Reggler and all of the staff that took care of Les at both the Comox Valley Hospital and the Comox Valley Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Comox Valley Hospice.
We will miss Les tremendously. Be a little girl again Leslie and dance in the clouds.
A private celebration will take place in the Spring.
