Linda Haywood (nee Greenwood)

January 17, 2019

January 16, 1954 - January 17, 2019
After a short battle with cancer, Linda Haywood (Greenwood) died peacefully but far too soon at Comox Valley Hospice. Linda was born in 1954 in Vancouver, BC and was the oldest child of Barry and Donna Greenwood. Linda became a dental assistant shortly after graduation and worked for years in the field until becoming a mother. Linda adored being a mother; she was the type of parent who would often get down on the floor to play, create, dance and dream with her daughters and their friends. Her sense of humour and adventure always kept those near to her on their toes and usually in hysterics. Linda also was trained in Bookkeeping and Administration. Linda's faith was very important to her so being involved in the church brought her much joy and comfort. Linda's home was always open to those who needed a compassionate ear, friendly face and giving heart.

Linda was predeceased by her father, Barry Greenwood and brother, Steven Greenwood. Survived by her mother, Donna, sisters Karen and Kathy (Wayne), brother David (Ramichelle), nieces and nephews: Jason, Tammie, Nick, Michell, Tanya, Colin, Paige, Tony, Marissa, and Nathan and her best friend Bradley Jacowenik.ELinda leaves behind her heartbroken daughters, Nikol Bortolotto and Suzi Gaskill (Jamie) and her grandsons Rowan and Silas.EA special thank you to all those friends and loved ones who have been extremely supportive during this difficult year, to the nurses and volunteers at Comox Valley Hospice Society who have been absolutely amazing, Dr. Usmani, Dr. Attwell, Dr. Holloway, Dr. Aston, Dr. Hopwell, Dr. Fehlau and Necia Kaechele.
