LEDOUX, Linda Jean

May 29, 1948 – September 18, 2012

We are with great sadness announcing the passing of Linda Jean Ledoux. She was predeceased by her parents; Louis and Jane Hawkes and her brother David Hawkes. Linda is survived and will be lovingly missed by her husband Lawrence Ledoux, sons; Dan Ledoux (Susan) of Langley, B.C. and Brian Ledoux (Melissa) of Kamloops, B.C., grandchildren; Renae Ledoux, Dylan Ledoux, Riley Ledoux, and Spencer Ledoux, brother Ray Hawkes, sisters; Brenda McKelvie (Kevin) of Quesnel, B.C. and Bonita Kopetski (Al) of Gran Isle, B.C. as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Linda was the first female Rotarian president of Quesnel, B.C. Her real passion was introducing and helping create Quesnel’s First Hospice Society and Facility.

Linda’s first job was Cloverdale Post Office, then onto a secretarial position for School District 28 in Quesnel, B.C. City Hall came calling which she eagerly answered for many years. Linda’s first love was flowers, so she bought Naicam Flowers of Quesnel, which she owned and operated until she retired and moved to the island. In her leisure time Linda loved to paint and look after her flowers.

Linda was always helping others through hospice and was a very caring and loving spiritual person who loved to laugh.

If friends so wish, donations in Linda’s memory made to any Hospice Society would be appreciated.
