Linda passed away peacefully after a short but brave battle with cancer in the Comox Valley Hospital with family at her side.
Linda was born in Germany to parents William and Mary Leckie, her Dad was stationed there with the RCAF.
She was predeceased by both her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband Allan of 39 yrs, brothers; Chas and Ken Leckie and sister Judith (Chris) Belleau and many nieces and nephews and a few great nieces and one great nephew.
Linda loved to travel and enjoyed gardening. One of her favorite places was Long Beach on the west Coast of Vancouver Island where she and Al shared many happy memories. Linda worked many years as an Optician and last worked at Walmart Optics in Courtenay where she made lenses and framed glasses until she retired.
The family wishes to thank the Doctor, Nurses and Care Aides at the Hospital for their care and compassion during her stay. The family will be having a private Celebration of Life.
