LIONEL SOUTH GREENWOOD

December 8, 1919 - November 24, 2006


A long time resident of Vancouver, Lionel passed away peacefully from pneumonia at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret; brothers Kenneth and Fred and his sister Iva Peterson. Lionel is survived by his sons Doug of Vancouver and David (Alex) of Courtenay; grandchildren Josh, Jessica and Jake; brother Kendall (Mary) of Green Lake, B.C.; many nieces and nephews; and long time special friend Mavis Garrison of Vancouver. Lionel was very active in the Capilano Masonic Lodge and many facets of the Shrine. He enjoyed 35 years as a salesperson with Simmons Limited. Lionel was an avid photographer and loved gardening. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. His family thanks the staff at Casa Loma and Glacier View Lodge for their exceptional care and kindness. A special thanks to St. Joseph’s Hospital for the care and respect shown to Lionel and his family. A Memorial Service will be held in Vancouver. COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & crematorium, 1101 Ryan Road, COURTENAY entrusted with arrangements.
