1929 – 2016
Born in Castor, AB, January 31st, 1929 – the family lived on a farm nearby – moved to Red Deer, AB in 1943. Worked in Red Deer following High School, 1948 moved to work in Calgary. 1950 moved to Victoria, BC, lived in Ottawa 1955 and 1956, then back to Victoria. 1973 moved to Courtenay, BC. Predeceased by parents, Henry Cooper 1968 and Elizabeth Cooper 1972. Survived by foster son, Rick Phipps, wife Karen Phipps – grandchildren Darcy (Rayna) and Megan and Courtnay and Leia; Seton (Jenna) and Gage and Wyatt and Weston; Miranda (Jason), Eve Gordon and Brianne; Sister Merle Nakoneczny, Red Deer, AB; sister Joyce Ronaghan (Roland). Champion, AB; brother Ken Cooper (Noy), Burnaby, BC. Have nieces, nephews and families, cousins and families, and friends and families, living across Canada and the United States.
A Memorial Service will be held at Piercy’s – Mt. Washington Funeral Home on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at 1pm.
