Lola died suddenly on August 4, 2016. She was born in Falmouth, Nova Scotia, married in 1951 to Lawrence Wile who served in the air force. After a few moves within the service, he was stationed in Comox during the 60s, where they spent most of their married life.

She was predeceased by her sister Ada Robinson, Falmouth, N.S., and her brother Jim Burgess, Dartmouth, N.S.

She is survived by her two sons – Alex Wile (Mona), Comox, & Richard Wile (Bonnie), Burnaby; grandson Adam Wile (CJ), Courtenay, great granddaughter, Anaka; granddaughter Jennifer Wile, Calgary; her sister Eva Levy, Windsor, N.S., her brother Ralph Burgess (Sheila), Hantsport, N.S. & many nieces & nephews.

Lola was a proud mother & stated many times that the most important job in life was being a mother. Her boys would testify that she was dedicated, attentive, & supportive throughout their boyhood years.

Lola made her home at Berwick Retirement Residence for almost the past five years & will be missed by her Bridge Club members.

A celebration of her life took place on August 26 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Berwick – 1700 Comox Avenue, Comox.
