The family of Lori Weiser is deeply saddened to announce her passing on November 4, 2022. Born to Dale and Audrey Collings in Marville, France, Lori spent most of her youth in Comox and moved to Vancouver's West End after graduating high school. Her first job was with "Chargex" (now Visa) and thus began an extensive career in finance. After obtaining a Diploma in Business Administration in the late '90s,
Lori managed several financial institutions in central Vancouver Island, transitioning to the insurance field in the latter part of her career.
The achievement of which Lori was most proud, however, was that of becoming a mother.
A special softness came over her at the mere mention of Tarryn's name. The two forged an incredible bond, and together they faced the peaks and valleys that came their way.
As Tarryn was poised to leave the nest, Mitch Weiser entered the picture, and what followed was an amazing 13-year adventure! Lori and Mitch enjoyed travelling to Las Vegas (where they married in 2016), Mexico, Panama, Ottawa, Montreal, and Oregon, attending concerts and stand-up comedy shows, designing and building a beautiful home in which they loved to entertain, and most of all, being together.
With a personality larger than life, Lori made friends wherever she went. She will be missed by so many, but most deeply by her beloved husband Mitch, daughter Tarryn, and brothers Roy and Steve.
The family sends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Matt Robertson, the incredible Medical Daycare staff at North Island Hospital, Comox Valley, and the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver.
