August 28, 1937 - August 27, 2018
Louis David Boyle passed away peacefully at Comox Hospice at the Views with this family by his side on August 27, 2018. He was predeceased by his father Everett John Boyle and his mother Margaret Bennett and is survived by his cherished wife of 52 years, Lorna Boyle; sons, Todd Boyle, Daniel (Julie) Boyle, and Rodney (Celine) Boyle; grandchildren, Melanie Boyle (Quade Trodd), Matthew Boyle, and Joshua Boyle; great granddaughter Ellie; brothers, Everett (Joyce) Boyle and Ronald (Lola) Boyle; sisters, Anita Parcher and Catherine Colombe, brother-in-law Keith and sister-in-law Maxine Hanton of whom Dave was very close to.
Dave served 35 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force and was posted to Germany, La Macaza (QC), St. Hubert, Trenton and Ottawa, retiring in Comox. He was an air frame tech, retired Master Warrant Officer. In his leisure time, Dave enjoyed fishing, loved to camp and fly fish along the shore for trout and Coho. Dave was a loving father devoted husband and family was very precious to him. He spent most summers travelling to Ontario, to be with family and good
friends. He will be missed greatly by family and friends.
A very special thanks to Joe and Fran Thibodeau for always being there for us, to Donna Rensvold from Community Health, to Dr. Doug Anderson and all the staff at the North Island Hospital as well as to the Comox Valley Hospice.
Donations made in Dave's memory to the ALS Society of BC, or Little River Enhancement would be greatly appreciated. There will be a service held at a later date.
