HENDRY, Lyle Rae
A quality man very much loved.
Lyle Hendry of Courtenay, B.C. Died November 5, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
He leaves to mourn his loving spouse Bernice Blonarwitz; daughter Nadine Mainprize; son Glen; grandchildren Ramona, Levi and David (Jeanette); great grandchildren Anastasia, Kaija, Amber and Kaleb; sister Holly Hunter; B/L Bob Payne; daughter in-law Trish (Richard).
Lyle was the youngest of 10 children born in Kedleston, Saskatchewan January 8, 1932.
His quiet nature, tenacious spirit, hard work ethic solved many problems in his work as a pioneer in data processing in the 1950's. Lyle loved the outdoors hunting and fishing, skiing and skating. He coached peewee hockey for many years. He was a talented artist and brilliant man who excelled in woodworking and house construction all self taught.
There will be a celebration of his life January 8, 2012 (which would have been his 80th birthday) at 2210 Piercy Ave, Courtenay, from 11am to 2pm.
