Lyle Robert Nygren passed away on October 31st, 2003 in Comox, B.C. Lyle was predeceased by his wife Mary, his son Michael and his brother Henry.
He is survived by his son Lyle Robert (Ann) Nygren of Courtenay, his daughters: Kathy (Robert Smith) of Courtenay, Dawn (Jim) Estlin of Courtenay, Shawn Nygren of Vancouver, B.C., and Vanessa (John) Scheurs of Courtenay, his grandchildren: Melissa, Jessica, Marie, Lyle, Jordan, Katie-Lee, and Samantha, his great grandchildren: Skylar and Kalem, his brothers: Roy (Lenore) Nygren of Gibsons, B.C. and Everet (Joyce) Nygren of Regina, Sask., his sisters: Gunhild Granbois of Langley, B.C., Doris (George) Dobrichan of Salmon Arm, B.C., Lily (Norman) Ellingsen of Regina, Sask., numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lyle retired as a corporal from the Air Force after serving 20 years from 1951 to 1971. After retiring from the Air Force he worked for 20 years in housekeeping at St. Joseph’s Hospital. There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life at Lyle’s place (2140 - 20th St. #9, Courtenay) on Friday, November 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD entrusted with arrangements.
