Lyle Vix

Vix - Lyle of Royston, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Saturday, March 1st, 2003 at age 73.

Lyle was predeceased by his two brothers Russell and Dale, and is survived by his loving wife, Wanda, daughters Brenda (Keith) Nicholls of Royston, Barbara (Doug) Franche of Sooke, grandchildren: Steven, Curtis, Dalton, and Cale; as well as brother Al (Donna) Vix of Cumberland, together with many nieces and nephews.

Lyle worked for B.C. Ferries for a period of fifteen years and prior was a heavy duty equipment operator/truck driver. He loved his RV and travelling, while fishing, and socializing at the kitchen table brought many happy moments, only matched by his love for all kinds of sports. Lyle with his happy disposition and big heart leaves many of his friends with fond memories of happy times. He will be sadly missed and ever loved by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Lyle’s Life will take place on Thursday, March 6th, 2003, at 10:30 A.M. from the Chapel of COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay. For those wishing donations in Lyle’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 102 - 1509 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, B.C. V9N 2K2 with appreciation.
