January 12, 1959 - June 28, 2018
Our dearest Mom, granny, aunt, sister and above all, friend, Lynn, passed away suddenly on the evening of June 28, 2018 as the result of a heart attack. Her passing has left a gaping hole in so many hearts. She loved and was loved by people in every corner of the world. We are going to miss her laugh, her wit, her amazing cooking, her unconditional love, her compassion and every ounce of her being forever.

Lynn was blessed with two green thumbs, she was a coffee connoisseur, smoker of bacon, quilt builder, knitter extraordinaire, computer wizard and so much more. Her happy place was her garden but she also enjoyed the Cumberland dog park that she visited every day with her buddy, Murphy; Hot Chocolates; Fabricland; the butcher shop on 4th Street and any wool shop she came across.

Lynn was born in Penticton, B.C. on January 12, 1959 and lived there with her mom and her brother, Ron, until they moved to Port McNeill in 1976. She married Dale in 1983 and together they raised Shawna and Brian in Hyde Creek.

Lynn was gifted in so many ways, talented and patient. She could do anything from splitting shakes for their log house to embroidery and everything and anything in- between. Lynn was predeceased by her son, Brian, her mom, Elaine and her dad, Bill.

She is survived by her daughter, Shawna (Dave) their children, Tanner and Keaton, as well as Brian & Tina's twin boys, Bryson and Brydon. She is also survived by her brothers, Ron, Graeme, Clint (Maureen), Terry (Faye) and sister, Shelley.

As a friend described her "a humbleness of spirit we should all aspire to". Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 27th at 1:00 p.m., Qualicum Beach Rotary Park, 2945 West Island Highway, Route 19A. We will keep it casual and light-hearted.

There will be an open mic so please come with your stories to tell. Snacks and refreshments will be served. If you wish, donations in Lynn's memory may be made online or by mail to Dawn to Dawn Action on Homelessness Society, Unit 6C - 821 Shamrock Place Comox, BC V9M 4G4. dawntodawn.org.
