VERCHERE (CARTIE), Mardelle Lavon Elizabeth "Mae"
Suddenly on May 7, 2010 at the age of 70 years. Beloved Mother of Stephen Michael Verchere and Paul David Verchere of Ottawa, Ontario. Proud Grandmother of Dustin Michael James Verchere and Amber Elizabeth Verchere. Lovingly remembered by the Weisbrod family of Saskatchewan and missed by her survived aunt Helen Livingstone and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Beth Cartie. Mae enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved hiking, dragon boating, and gardening. She was also an avid bridge player. She was very involved in her community and the United Church. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Wednesday May 12 at 2:00 pm from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre., 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay.
Memorial donations can be sent to The United Church of Canada, Mission and Service Fund and the Canadian Cancer and the Canadian Cancer Society for throat cancer research.
