HARKNETT, Margaret (Daisy)

The family of Margaret (Daisy) Harknett sadly announces her death, on Friday, August 20, 2010. She was born on January 1, 1911 at Elidon Bank, Parish of Melrose, Scotland and came to Victoria, British Columbia at the age of 6 months. She was a long time resident of Victoria, British Columbia, where she met her true love and husband of many years Fred Harknett (deceased 1959). She has lived in Courtenay for the past 6 years and she had moved here to be closer to her family. Daisy was a mother, grand, great-grand and great-great grandmother and well beloved. She will always be remembered, by those who knew her, as having a zest for life and an indomitable spirit. We’ll miss you Mom/ Gran but you will always be in our hearts.
Friends and Family please join us for a gathering to share stories and celebrate her life on Saturday, August 28th at 2:00 P.M. The Celebration of Life and reception will take place at 2293 Seabank Rd., Courtenay. It will be officiated by Mr. Steve Hill, pastoral services of St. Joseph’s Hospital. Donations to the Hospice Society of Courtenay would be appreciated.
