Margaret passed away peacefully at Glacier View Lodge on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the age of 85. She was born in Larder Lake, Ontario on September 15, 1936, and has lived in the Comox Valley since 1951. While living in the valley, Margaret worked at the Bank of Commerce, Laver's Department Store, as a teacher's aide for School District 71, and at the Courtenay Goodwill store. In the mid-70's, she even went back to complete her schooling and got her grade 12 diploma.
She is predeceased by her parents Jack & Florence King of Sooke, BC, her older brother Jim King of Moncton, NB, and her husband George Fernie Harrison Jr., whom she married on March 23, 1956, in Courtenay, BC.
She is survived by her younger brother George King of Iowa, and her three sons Michael (Joanne), Wayne and Glen Harrison (Susan). She is also survived by her five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
As was her wish, friends and family are invited for an informal gathering on Saturday, March 26th at 2pm to share stories, memories and refreshments at the Comox Valley Funeral Home, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay.
