Sep 16, 1944 - Mar 29, 2018
Margaret was born in Methil, Fife, most recently resided in Cumberland, BC, and passed away in Campbell River hospital surrounded by family at the age of 73.

Margaret, known to most as Maggie, married her husband Joseph on March 11, 1967 in Scotland and immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1971. She worked as a bank teller in Scotland and Winnipeg before working in the library at the University of Manitoba. In 1986, Maggie and Joe purchased the Home Store in Cumberland. They owned and operated the store until 2003, when they retired. During this time in her life, Maggie met and employed many people who would go on to become lifelong friends.

In her later years, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her grand-dog Sophie, going out for dinner with friends and morning swims at the pool.

Margaret was predeceased by her mother and father Florence and Stewart Lindsay, her sisters Sheena Alexander and Barbara Lindsay, and her niece Joyce Alexander.

Margaret is survived and missed by her husband of 51 years Joseph, sons Glen (Erin) and Sean (Brenda), and grandchildren Ellie, Brayden, Jack, Ollie, Trevor and Daniel. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, and various other family in BC, Manitoba, and Scotland.

No service by request. The family appreciates all the kind words and well wishes.
