The family of Margaret May Demings are sad to announce her passing on September 7, 2016 at Cumberland Lodge. She was predeceased by her husband Earle Demings (2004); sons William Demings (1980) and Michael Demings (1994). Margaret is survived by her sons Gerald, James and Kevin (Tina), daughter Charlene Mechalchuk (Dan); grandchildren Todd, Tanya, Brittney, Amanda, Jason, Patricia, Rebecca and William and great- grandchildren Brandon, Nathan, Kaeson, Jacob, Kody, Katelyn, Jordan, Madison, Julien and Roman.
Margaret served with the Canadian Air Force in 1951. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. Margaret was an inspiration to many with her devotion to God. Regardless of what challenges or hardship she faced in life she was unwavering in her faith.
There will be a Memorial Service at River Heights Church, 2201 Robert Lang Dr., Courtenay at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 13th, 2016. An interment will follow at Courtenay Civic Cemetery.
