It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, who passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She is cherished and will be deeply missed by her husband, Peter; her sister-in-law Helen Saley, her daughter Sharelle Price (Harlin); son Gary White (Gail); step-son Dean Orosz; granddaughters Tanya Price (Daniel Smallacombe); Tiffany Price; grandsons Darrin White, Kevin White (Valerie), Bradley White (Hoa Truong-White); great grandchildren Neah, Simon, Finley, Loudon, Brennus, Khyber, Noah (Sarah), Anya, Marah, Hannah, Hayden, and Norah. Pre-deceased by her first husband George White and her brother Roy Bingley (Clara).
Our mother was born in Wood Mountain, Saskatchewan and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. There she met and married her husband George. As a Canadian war bride she followed him to England in 1943. Following the war, she returned to Canada where George joined the RCAF. They retired in Comox where Margaret worked in the 7 Hangar Canteen at 19 Wing Comox. Following the passing of her husband, George, she married Peter Orosz a few years later. They loved to travel, especially RVing. She loved bingo and all her good friends. She especially enjoyed family occasions when she was surrounded by her grand children and great grandchildren. Spunky, kind, always thinking of others rather than herself; she will be greatly missed.
The family would sincerely like to thank Dr. Winter, Dr. Hunter, the nurses, support workers and many kind friends for their assistance in our time of need. A special thanks to her niece Loraine Hiebert. For those wishing, donations can be made to the Red Cross or Comox Valley Hospice Society.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd, at 11:00 am from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road, followed by a reception in the Garden Room and Outdoor Patio of the funeral home. Interment will then take place at Courtenay Civic Cemetery.
