March 22, 1940 - April 16, 2021
The family of Margaret Ruth Morgan are sad to share the news of Mom's passing on April 16, 2021. Predeceased by her father Steven John Thew (1988) and her mother Blanche Margaret Reid (2007).
Margaret is survived by her children Lana (Scott), Lance, and Dana (Brian), grandchildren Steve (Kim), Amy (Phil), Jesse, Rose, and great-granddaughter Estelle.
Mom was born in Calgary, Alberta. She later moved to Kelowna, and then settled in the Comox Valley. She was fortunate to have resided at Kiwanis Village for nearly four decades where she had many cherished friends.
Mom had several jobs and volunteered a lot over the years where she made lifelong friends, but the job she was most proud of was being a mom and the best Gramma ever, spending countless hours babysitting her beloved grandchildren.
A special thank-you to all who cared for Mom at North Island Hospital Comox Valley, Hospice at The Views, and The Views at St. Joseph's. "Queen Margaret" was very grateful for all of your love and excellent care.
Mom was a kind person who will be missed by all who knew her.
