Marge Miller enjoyed 97 years of life and had fun celebrating her 97th birthday on Sept. 15th. Marge passed away peacefully on October 2nd in our local hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Miller, and her sisters Betty Giles and Doris Hicks. She left behind many important people in her life, her daughter Jean Trupp (Dale), grandsons Kevin Trupp (Tarri), and Kelly Trupp (Lori), many great grandchildren who Marge dearly loved and was so proud of their accomplishments: James (Brittany), Karlie (Lucas), Kelsey, Katelynn, Dylan, and Cashel, and one great great grandchild, Chloe.
Marge also shared her life with many stepchildren and their families after she married Gerald: Lois, Gale (Bev), Cal (Ruth), Linda (Pat), Dwayne (Lyd) and Allen (Maria). Marge moved to Comox 34 years ago from Oliver, BC with her new husband Gerald Miller. Until two years ago, Marge lived in her home in Comox and then moved to Casa Loma, where she enjoyed their activities and socializing with others. During Marge's life she enjoyed square dancing, travelling and going on daily walks. Her one great passion was playing cards and she would never say no to anyone willing to play. Marge looked forward to weekly card games and visits with her great granddaughters, Cindy Jaquier and Krista Miller, and was always happiest when she won!
The family would like to thank all the staff at Casa Loma for the fabulous care they gave Marge, to the Emergency room staff and the staff on 3A at the North Island Hospital in Courtenay. Thank you also to the special care given to Marge by her doctor, Dr. Jennifer Cortez, over the years.
