1923 ~ 2009
Passed away peacefully with her family present on May 23, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mom was born in Plymouth, England June 29, 1923, where at the age of 19 met a dashing young sailor from the Canadian Navy (our father). They were married in 1943 and mom was shortly thereafter on a ship to Canada to be safe with his parents in Montreal while dad stayed in England and won the war.
Mom was a fun loving spirit with a kind heart and gentle soul. Mom made friends with everyone she met with her beautiful smile and her willingness to share herself unconditionally. There were some tough times throughout mom's life, but her only concerns were for the one's she loved. Her favorite saying was "don't worry dear everything will be alright". Now that mom has passed away she will be reunited with her husband Earl, her dearly missed daughter Barbara and her grandson Cole who I'm sure will be there to look after his gran.
Mom left behind her loving sons Allan (Kathy), Earl (Pat), 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; many relatives throughout England and a lifetime of friendships.
Mom, have I told you I love you today.
