Hembroff, Marie “May” Edmee
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2003, MARIE “MAY” HEMBROFF, at the age of 79 years, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Lorentz (Bill) Hembroff.
Besides her lifetime of caring for her family, Marie enjoyed many years of outdoor pursuits with her husband and friends. She was a collector of dolls and antiques and belonged to the Historical Society of Courtenay, BC.
Marie is survived by her 3 daughters: Loraine (Clay) Olsen and Lynne Hembroff, all of Lethbridge, and Christine (Ray) Hornby of Williams Lake, BC; her grandchildren: Victor (Colleen) Peterson, Bill Peterson, Corrine Callahan, and Nathan Hornby; one great-grandson, McKinley Peterson; sisters: Eva Geldart, Rita Duffy, Irene Searle, Margaret McIntyre, Gloria Jones, and Stella Truman; sister-in-law Margaret Akins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Marie will be laid to rest in the Courtenay Cemetery, Courtenay, BC. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Daryl Lockyer of Martin Bros.
