It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Elizabeth Mayne. Born March 27, 1925 in Toronto, ON.
Marie's family was first and foremost in her life. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was predeceased by her husband Des.
Marie is survived and will be dearly missed by her son Mike Mayne (Heide), daughter Kathy Franks (Lloyd) and son Jeff Mayne (Penny).
Marie is also leaving behind 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren; Matthew Franks, Sarah Walz, Caitlin Mayne, Cory Mayne, Kyle Mayne, Ryan Mayne, Bowen Walz, Reid Walz and Isaac Franks.
Over almost 93 years, Marie touched many lives; children she taught in a one room schoolhouse, fellow officer's wives, 39er Hikers (of which she was a charter member), luncheon ladies, bridge pals and the youngest of neighbours who liked to visit her.
Those that loved her most will be guided by her sweet, but strong spirit until we meet again.
A service will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, with reception to follow, March 27, 2018 at 11:00 am.
