Marjorie Helen "Midge"
April 1, 1910 - July 13, 2008
Marjorie Helen (Hall) Herman Bakewell, born April 1, 1910 passed away peacefully on July 13, 2008 in Ocean View Extended Care. Midge came to the Comox Valley from Chilliwack in 1947. She was an active member of the community for many years, belonging to the Ladie's Hospital Auxiliary, the Canadian Daughter's League, and the TOPS Club. Her working days were spent assisting Wally (her first husband of 52 years) in his butcher shop.
Midge always had a twinkle in her eye. She was friendly, happy, kind, and generous. She loved her family dearly. Marjorie is predeceased by both husbands, Walter Herman and Norman Bakewell; her son, William Herman and her granddaughter, Lindsay Louie. She is survived by daughter, Rita Louie; daughter-in-law Larona Herman; grandchildren: Laurie (Herman), Frame (Dan), Carrie Herman, Stan Herman (Gail), Jayson Louie (Catherine), Dayle (Louie) Pagnotta (Joe), Robin (Louie) Hamhuis (Darren). She is also survived by 6 great-grandsons: Regan Merkley, Jesse Stockand, Lou Herman, Paul Herman, Ryan Louie and Gage Hamhuis.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 18th at 2:00 pm from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road.
