HARGREAVES, Mary Georgina (nee Stewart)
May 31, 1915 – January 10, 2010
Mary passed away on January 10, 2010 at Glacier View Lodge. Born in Outlook, Saskatchewan on May 31, 1915.
Mom came to the Comox Valley with her parents “Piper” and Mary Stewart when she was 5 years old. They homesteaded on Lake Trail Road, where she later lived with her husband, Chuck and family until his retirement. They then moved out to Point Holmes, Comox. Mom enjoyed camping, gardening and traveling. Her travels took her to Europe, Scotland and the United States on several different occasions.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Chuck; daughter, Diane; son, Mike; sons-in-law: Stubby and Scotty; her brothers: Bill and Sandy and Don Stewart as well as two great-grandsons. She is survived by her daughters: Loretta Stubbington, June Robson, Bob and Joy, Larry and Gail, Wayne and Laura; daughter-in-law, Linda; 2 sisters: Eve Bloomquist and Ivy Tame; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandsons.
